How to choose the Blockchain for my NFT project?

Ever wondered how to choose the blockchain for your NFT project?

A growing number of blockchains allow users to deploy smart contracts, each with a different set of features and characteristics that suit the needs of each user to differing degrees. At FeverTokens, we already support the most popular chains, including Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, and Binance Smart Chain.

- Ethereum is the best known. It is highly secure but more costly and has higher environmental impact.

- Polygon is a sidechain that is much cheaper to use.

- BSC uses Proof-of-Staked-Authority consensus mechanism and is backed by Binance.

- Avalanche is a cost-effective alternative to Ethereum while using Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism.

- Polygon, BSC, and Avalanche are all EVM(Ethereum Virtual Machine)-compatible.

Considerations in choosing your blockchain

While ultimately it is your own decision to make, here are some considerations that we like to highlight to help you reach an informed decision.

  1. Do you need your NFT to be highly secure? We recommend Ethereum for high-valued, high-prestige NFTs.
  2. Do you need high transaction speeds and low fees? Polygon and Avalanche may be worth a look.
  3. Do you expect frequent transactions? Some blockchains are cheaper to transact on and to deploy to.
  4. Do you care about the environmental impact of the transactions? Ethereum, though more prestigious and theoretically more robust, is worse in environmental terms at the moment.
